Artist Statement

My areas of interest as an interdisciplinary dance artist are choreography, filmmaking, and visual media. My creative work often explores themes of human connection, relationships, and identity. I strive to produce art that encourages, ignites curiosity, and fosters a safe space in which individuals’ can discover their inner artist and potential.

I strongly believe that dancing has the ability to transform people as individuals, as communities, and as cultures. I use movement to generate a sense of connection and community. As a choreographer, my goal is to create a strong bond between the dancers and the movement. I achieve this by promoting emotional expression through the use of movement exploration, textures, visuals, and movement quality. My artistry remains fueled by ideas of intimacy, connection, and storytelling.
